Atlas by The Counsel

Find travel companions who pass the vibe check.

So you don't like solo travel, but your friends are too lame to go on that sketchy hike? Or maybe you'd rather spend the weekend exploring a city instead of sleeping in a tent. Atlas doesn't judge.

Travel safety

Somebody always knows where you are

Emergency contacts

Save up to three emergency contacts. They stay private, and you choose to share them with the people on a specific trip.

Trip plan links

Send family or friends a private link with your trip, dates and check-ins. The link expires 30 days after you get home.

Travel Trust Score

Every traveler builds a score from completed trips, reviews and checks. No-shows lower it.

Verification badges

Selfie Checked, ID Details Matched and Booking Checked badges show which travelers completed optional checks.

Honest trip reviews

After a trip, review each companion. A review stays hidden until the other person reviews back, or for two weeks, so nobody retaliates.

Control who sees your trips

Hide a trip from specific people, and invite only people you already share an Atlas chat with.

Your travel record

A map of everywhere you've been

Your Atlas profile includes a world map of the countries and states you've visited, with photos from each trip. It's a quick way for future travel companions to see your style.

  • Save travel contacts you'd go with again, and message them anytime.
  • Invite saved contacts to trips you're hosting.
  • Keep upcoming and past trips in one place.
